MY Private Yoga

A Private Yoga Class allows you to ask all the questions you need to ask but often don’t get a chance to. If you are confused about alignment or not sure whether a particular pose is right for you, or want to learn to meditate but don’t know where to begin or just want to relax but don’t know how, a Private Yoga Class is the answer. Come away with a completely personalised yoga program designed for your body and goals.

  • 1-to-1 PYC $90/hour
  • Bookings essential
  • 10:15AM – 4PM Saturdays.

Why PYCs?
In your first class you will receive a full postural analysis aimed at identifying:

  • Postural imbalances
  • Muscular imbalances
  • Joint restrictions
  • Hypermobile joints

You will leave your first class with a 10-minute home practice focussed around your primary goal. At your second private class you will receive a completely personalised yoga program designed for your body and focussed on your goals. You will be led through your program with detailed instruction focussed on the appropriate alignment for your body.

Subsequent PYCs will address your questions and assess your progress. Your program will be adjusted as your practice evolves.

How to Maximise the Benefits of PYCs
To maximise the benefits of PYCs:

  • An initial 1-to-1 PYC is recommended to maximise the opportunity for a full and comprehensive postural analysis
  • Combine a once monthly PYC with Small Group Yoga Classes

Small Group Yoga Classes

  • Come with a friend…or two
  • 60-minute SGY Class – minimum of 2 people, maximum of 4 per group
  • Cost $45 per person
  • Bookings essential
  • 10:15AM – 4PM Saturdays.

What are the benefits of learning Yoga this way?

  • PYCs are a cost effective way of learning yoga.
  • A PYC is 100% personalised and focussed on your goals.
  • Perhaps you want to attend group classes (General or Gentle classes) but don’t have the confidence? PYCs are a gentle way to ease you into yoga. Once you feel you are ready you can then transition into Small Group Yoga Classes and then on to Gentle of General Yoga classes.
  • Your program grows with you and is constantly adjusted to match your progress.
  • Although PYCs are not Yoga Therapy many of the causes of back and joint pain can be addressed by a customised yoga program. If you suffer from back, neck, shoulder, or knee pain an individualised yoga program may well be the solution.
  • If you are over weight yoga can help and an individualised program can help you get results faster.
  • Perhaps you have special needs that make a group class inaccessible – a PYC might be the answer.
  • Are you trying to get pregnant? A personalised yoga program designed to balance hormones might assist.
